The firearm enthusiasts face a major problem of variety of models and quality. Firearms manufactured by the Indian Ordnance Factory Board- the only Government owned entity in arms manufacturing in India - are the only ones available for the public and these are not of the international standards and quality. This is one of the reasons why customers keep facing technical glitches quite often. Also, the ban imposed on the modification of these firearms, has majorly restricted the arms market.

Lately, however, the Union government has made very significant and essential amendments in the Arms Rules 2016 by allowing private players to manufacture arms and ammunitions. For the last 73 years after Independence, the Indian Government had the exclusive rights to manufacture and sell firearms and its parts. In the light of the revised policy, it will definitely encourage private entities to come forward for setting up manufacturing units. The decision to open the doors of the firearms industry for the private players, will give a tremendous boost to the existing demand for firearms.

MSA is ready to take up this challenge with its own Manufacturing Unit and Distribution Network and use its vast experience in this Business to access this increased demand because of the changed Government Policy and Vision.
